I think the reason ppb works is that it brings the same level of dignity and intellectual rigor as those it is posted at. It simply dismisses bad takes as not worthy of a serious response. This is a good tool for avoiding protracted arguments with debate-bro pseudo-intellectuals. More generally - poop jokes aren’t meant to serve as high comedy, the crudity is the point. The cheap shock value is a feature, not a bug.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand :hexbear-logo: emojis. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of 19th century leftist theory most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE.
