So I’ve heard that if you appeal or request a rating change it essentially allows the VA to reassess ALL the issues you have a rating for. I’m not sure if this is something the VA might be doing for your case. Some medical issues have the potential to resolve so they might be re-examining those ones. Obviously use caution going into any C&P examination as there’s a lot of errors, bias, and bad medical judgment that can occur.

I requested a rating change for an issue about 4 years ago. The exam was scheduled within a month via phone call and the decision came in about a month later. I did a BVA appeal and have been waiting since then to even get on the docket. So they’re quick on some things but god forbid you have to appeal a crappy decision.

Sorry to hear that a VA decision might be a make or break point for you. Its good that youre aware of the DBQs though - many are not. Wishing the best for you OP.
