most the time you can get into friend groups just by asking to hang out with people, that’s how I got into my current one and we have added new people by also just hanging out with them and liking the time

I’d spend the next few gens just doing some regional forms and evos like that, give some pokemon like Mawile an evo or two ( I know it has a mega, but a I think megas are cringe and b megas are not in the newer games). Dudunsparce came outta nowhere, they can totally do it. and also retool some stats to deal with the absurd powercreep.

“b-but we NEED new pokemon every gen to make the game fresh and new!!”, idk man I’d just iterate on my game design more rather than the novelty of 120 new silly guys, only half of which are useful. legends Arceus seemed to do pretty fine with a handul of new evolutions and regional forms

gen 5, banging games, but uh an entire pokedex which is just kanto redesigns sure was a choice in terms of roster bloat

you know, I feel like gamefreak really did not need to add like 100 new pokemon per gen on average. we all got faves that are part of an archetype, mine is Pidove the gen 5 route 1 pigeon, but like most of these really are just bloat. they ofc could totally make the 1025 3d models to have every pokemon in a game, but like they put themselves in that position by making so many god damn pokemon that really just kinda do not need to exist
