DubiousInterests
Well when I was first choosing a lemmy instance to call home I looked into lemmygrad. The sign up message basically said Marxist Lennists and friends only don’t like those don’t join. Which if you pardon the pun is a red flag.
Then I read some posts and basically anything not Marxist Lenninst or Socialism with Chineese characeristics was basically called evil and shunned. Every post I read was just so hostile to any thought even slightly different to theirs. Being called a CIA asset in a posted article was an interesting one I must say.
It’s wild they actually aired that. That argument was the end of their relationship. Paul Jr. sued him over this, won and made his own company, Junior also made a book about his relationship with his father after as well.
They reconciled 5 or so years ago, and worked on a bike together. Which is nice.
I know this is probably sarcasm but. It would have been nice. Cameron was more pro remain than Corbyn, so the remain campaigning sucked. The news never talked about the merits of the EU. Basically nobody pro remain got any screentime! Let us not forget if it’s on a bus it must be true!
The only people who said brexit was a bad idea to me were friends and family. If you wanted to know what the effects were likely to be you had to work for it, which Brits kind of suck at doing.
True that is a way around it but then it would basically have the exact problem the 2nd amendment already has, Licensing can already be used on the 2nd amendment and many other amendments. For it to really work you would need to add paragraphs, probably a whole book to the amendment of what is and is not covered, and yet somehow have it be future proof too.
