I think it’s because people nowadays are brought up to to ***follow ***what they read.
There is so much importance of memorising facts one is informed like a computer, then alongside this, are informed by media and abrihamic based religions repeatedly, that life is binary good and bad.
And as such, when an average reader attempts to criticise China, or Israel, UK or US present governmental practices for instance, they struggle to not generalise and lump government, people, race, and more all into one.
To educate massess of people into being able to criticise policy is a surefire way to get the masses to be critical of the practices of a present government, and get you out of power.
Binary identity politics however, will keep you there, in power, forever.
Something about reading a person with no power feeling responsible for the practices of the upper echelons of power and control makes me feel sad. Like the propaganda worked or something. I feel like there’s a parallel to the environmental accountability. I can’t remember the name of the approach, but it’s very much a thing that:
Where one has power and control in minority, instead of dealing with it, make it seem as though the wide majority without power, control or benefit of X is in fact responsible for X, and they should feel bad and take accountability for X. Even though the unfortunate majority had no say in how the runnings of it were decided.
-edit-
- accountability evasion
- Responsibility diffusion
- passing the buck.

This meme better take that right back! I’m waiting on my both diagnosis and … nah, it’s fine.
I’m going to pretend I didn’t see that. It’s cool, life is cool, yup. 8-)
I can’t believe I saw a meme that said, “Guess which community he moderated in 2008” And the answer was r/jailbait. I mean jesus christ! Now HE is the CEO, fuck that.
Hardly dumb. Offer a free and open space you secretly have a back door into and let it get populated. This happens all the time. A recent example would be some crypto exchanges that were secure and anonymous that suddenly disappeared with all the accounts.
I’m sure you can think of other examples too!
-edit- At first I thought it was just satire, related to “communism” thing, more just anti Laissez-faire monopoly capitalism(yes I had to google how to spell that repeatedly!). But…wow, I’m the one that is nieve it seems!
I had been playing Everspace 2 after waiting years. But, there’s something about it that just feels a bit empty and repetitive at the same time? Also I had played **Deathstranding **and that has been fun, but I haven’t opened it in like 2 months now D: Also I really want to play continue Half-Life Alex, its so good, but I’ve been struggling not just lying down and watching youtube/reddit.
One day I’ll play Cyberpunk2077, i’m looking forward to that, I keep hearing little tidbits getting fixed every few months. Anyone started that recently?
