The critique that there are no Japanese characters doesn’t make a lot of sense. I’m not sure how they’d fit into the narrative, and also I don’t trust an American director to really do that story justice. They could only ever write an American interpretation of the Japanese experience of the war.
If anything, we should use this opportunity to promote films by Japanese directors that do deal with these themes.
Hello. I was pretty regular user of the original sub before it closed down. I avoided moving to Hexbear because I didn’t like the interface.
You could also share links in a Url shortened style and use that redirect to let someone select an instance or log in to another service to know where to send links. This also isn’t great.
The ideal would be a site that asks you for your instance once, saves it as a cookie, then automatically redirects you.
