Roguelites sound like a good fit for something to quickly grab your attention. There’s all kinds of them but I’ll go ahead and list off Hades, Dead Cells, Risk of Rain 2, and Streets of Rogue as just a few of the greats.

Deep Rock Galactic, as mentioned elsewhere, is also amazing. Depending on the type, you can do a mission or two in a 30 minute timeframe.

It’s admittedly gotten a lot of shout outs with Diablo’s release, but Grim Dawn. Just a super great old school ARPG with a fun multi class system. I think I made a mistake by letting it be one of the first in the genre I really got into, so it’s kinda tough to find another one that competes.

Tough to give anything concrete without preferences but I’ll toss out a few. Chronicon is a great ARPG that’s easy on the battery due to simple graphics (don’t let them fool you). Voxelgram is 3d picross, if that happens to be your thing. Dicey Dungeons is a dice based roguelite that’s totally full of charm.

Slightly pains me to say that this is a good thing. As much as I hate what’s happened to Blizzard but especially Crash and Spyro, monopolies are only going to end up making things so much worse.

Sony buying everything is just as much a problem as MS doing it. I think the main difference is that they’ve stayed under the radar by doing smaller purchases, but I want someone to push the brakes on them equally as much.

One on Firefox that’s super helpful for work is Simple Tab Groups. It lets me keep plenty of tabs open without it turning into a disorganized mess. Better than Chrome’s built-in tab organization, imo.

I’ve been on an ARPG kick so it’s been super tempting. I’m holding out to see how the game and monetization is handled as seasons start, though, and even then I’ll probably be stubborn enough to wait for a sale.

Wait, really? I keep hearing that the whole thing was a disappointment. Hopefully people stick it out long enough to actually force some change, then.

I use it for work, my personal desktop, and naturally my Steam Deck. It’s far from being the majority but it is becoming increasingly common thanks to Valve.
