I don’t know if this community is active enough yet to have a pre, race and result thread per stage, so let’s see how we get on with one thread.

Really looking forward to this stage. I think it will make a great start to the Tour de France. My money is on van Aert for this stage he goes up the mountains a bit better the MvdP and he has the best final sprint of whoever will be left.

I’m team Pog as well, his riding style is just a lot more exciting.

Thanks! That feeling was exactly what I was going for with the ramen photo. I feel the 3rd one is the weakest as well. I was going for a quiet dutch pub kind of vibe enjoying bitterballen and a beer. I’m not entirely sure if I will redo that one with a different subject.

Thanks, the finger looks a bit weird indeed, now that you have mentioned it. Should be able to fix that though. They are all basically selfies and I didn’t really feel like showing my face hence they are all cut off.

The cream bun is Swedish semla, a cardamom bun filled with almond paste and cream they are delicious!

I do photography for a living, but honestly I find shooting a billboard campaign less stressful then posting in a community like this. I don’t put paid work up but I’ll see if I have something else.

You are saying your kind of lazy when it comes to taking photos as well as not growing in your photography, but do they not go hand in hand? Obviously it’s about finding time as well and I sure could do with a bit more of a lazy approach sometimes.

Lovely shot, I don’t think it’s too much. You could have cranked up the wb in camera as well, so I don’t see a problem. Saying that I have never entered a photo competition, so I don’t know what their general opinion is.

Not entirely sure what to make of this one. It’s doing the opposite of what I expect of a withering flower shot. I was expecting moody soft light but the light is quite hard and I kind of dig that. It brings out the details in the flower. The thing that does throw me though is the white background a coloured background would do a lot for this shot I recon. Did you try any other colours?

It’s a scary thing to let randomers critique your work. I have only done it once myself but might post one later today if I’m feeling brave enough.

Makes sense going for his 4th Vuelta win. Maybe next year he can do the Tour de France again all though I feel he needs a bit of luck winning that one. There always seems to be someone better then him it either being Pogacar or Vinegaard.

I think at the moment lemmy.world/c/procycling is the most active community about cycling. Would be good to all join the same community for now, so that it gets a bit more active.
