I’m using Jerboa and everything seems to be working fine. Edit: Jerboa started playing up mainly crashing on opening it. Binned it off and now using Connect

ELI5?

I’m new to Lemmy and on my first day trying to get to grips with it, I couldn’t post a comment because the Community wouldn’t allow the language (I was posting in English and all the other comments on the post were in English, and my language settings are set to Undefined and English). The whole language selection is actually a blocker to engagement at times.

I use the compressor just to tighten up and even out the tones. While it’s in the Silencer effects loop it’s effectively the first pedal in the chain.

It’s a cheap and cheerful Chorus made by Landlord available through Anderton’s here in the UK. It’ll likely be the next pedal to get swapped out for an upgrade.

It does the job I need it to do. It’s passive and I just use it as an attenuator. If I have one small gripe, the rocker is a little on the short side so makes it a bit more finicky to set a volume level but at least doesn’t take up much space. Oh, and it’s really inexpensive!

I might be out of the loop a bit but I’ve noticed lots of John Oliver posts in recent days - has he been vocal about the Reddit/Spez debacle?

I’m new to all this and keep seeing the word “defederated” crop up particularly with regard to Beehaw. Can someone ELI5 what being defederated means?
