How come human drivers have more fatalities and injuries per mile driven?

Musk can die in a fire, but self driving car tech seems to be vastly safer than human drivers when you do apples to apples comparisons. It’s like wearing a seatbelt, you certainly don’t need to have one to go from point A to point B, but you’re definitely safer with it - even if you are giving up a little control. Like a seatbelt, you can always take it off.

Unfortunately there is still a lot of stuff posted on twitter only. It’s either there or hidden somewhere in the bowels of a discord channel that no one can search.

The internet is turning into the dark ages where getting information that isn’t manipulated is basically impossible. Didn’t feel so much like this 15 years ago.

People love looking at a figurehead and drawing the conclusion “That person is the problem!!!”

The problem is never just one person. Especially in this case, the problem is systematic, pervasive and the solution is utterly at odds with society as it functions today.

Now what someone does with that information is going to depend on the person. I guess my agenda comes down to wanting to direct people to the bigger picture and to stop keeping their head perpetually down staring at a person who has several masters above them pulling the strings. You can look upwards and address the source while also changing the rules that apply to the figurehead as well, no?

To pose a hypothetical: If you eliminate all CEOs everywhere all at once the rest of the executives will just step up and the board and ownership will just carry on their way. It won’t fix the problem. If you make it so their comp is limited to no more than what the lowest paid person makes, you’re just going to make a supreme court judge situation where the person on top will be a puppet for whoever is willing to bribe them the best in ways that are not easily tracked.

The CEO shareholders just got the lion’s share.

only 70% of employee cost is typically salary. So 120k was highly conservative.

I know you have an agenda but anybody who knows fucking anything about american tech knows the wages aren’t low like… well pretty much everywhere else. Usually about 30% of the cost of an employee are things that are not wages. So that 115kish is only 70% of the total nut, give or take.

I’m not for ludicrous senior executive pay. The real problem isn’t even that though, it’s the legal obligation to make as much money as possible for the ownership class. There is no obligation for employers to really do fucking anything for their employees beyond what the law mandates - and US labor laws are a fucking joke.

Except USA is no-longer a country of law, it’s a corrupt oligarchy.

It’s always been this way. The internet just does a better job of propagating information about it.

I kind of figured that’s been the point from the beginning. If you can’t win an election legitimately because the educated see through your bullshit, do illegal things that cannot be tracked or that is “legal” just despicable, like deregister non-republican voters and make sure your planted vote counters make sure they all seem to show up R or aren’t counted because they are “fraudulent” - because the watchers are all your people there’s nothing to be done to challenge it.

these are the same people who have been accusing every single democrat ever of fraudulent things by any means necessary. They’ve wanted to impeach biden for “fraud” but can’t find any wrongdoing. They are also the people who attempted to create fake electoral votes to seize power after losing the popular vote.

It’s pretty sad the legal system is bought and paid for by billionaires who have no interest in allowing the courts to actually follow the law unless it results in lower taxes and higher subsidies for them. If the judges actually did their jobs a lot more people would be in jail for election interference.

Realistically though, the employees total comp was probably close to 120k per person including benefits and employer taxes, otherwise people are making poverty wages. So 300m spending was required.

I don’t think the movie in any way calls for eugenics.

If anything it called out how toxic ignorance and stupidity can be in the presence of someone who just wants to do the right thing. It shows how corporate greed and capitalism encourages stupidity to further it’s goals of creating basic labor for the corporate machines owned by billionaires to exploit.
