The bottom of this EPA Document says that following the lifetimeimita of benzene exposure will result in a likelihood of developing cancer at 1 in a million chances.
The article didn’t mention exposure limits, but I would think that stovetop production of benzene is far less than industrial sources of exposure such as the oil industry or on tankers, that the federal limits were created for.

The last non-fiction book I read, that I enjoyed, was The Winter Fortress by Neal Bascomb. It’s about a team of saboteurs hiding out from the Nazis. They were instrumental in delaying Hitler from creating the components necessary to make nuclear weapons.
I’m currently enjoying some Mr. Mythos.
