Voor mij is het (onder andere) ook wel een plek om tot rust te komen. Ik heb ook erg veel geluidsoverlast thuis, dus het is fijn om de stilte op te zoeken. Ik ga zelf vaak naar het Noordhollands Duinreservaat, en kies dan precies te plekken en tijden uit dat ik weet dat er niemand is.

De Kaapse Bossen, of de hele Utrechtse Heuvelrug eigenlijk, ken ik niet echt. Daar wil ik nog wel eens een keer heen. Lijkt me een hartstikke mooi gebied.

What would be the financial angle here?

I wanted to dive deeper in specific topics this year, rather than jumping from one topic to the next. The coming months I want to read mostly contemporary Japanese literature, which is still a very broad topic of course. Right now I’m reading No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai, a short novel about a troubled man who fails to connect to others. Currently halfway and ian incredibly bleak view on human relationships and interaction.

Thanks, I’ve been trying to get more into it as well lately. There’s quite the abundance of Indonesian food and ingredients here in the Netherlands because of, well, the past… But most people wouldn’t be able to name any dishes other than a handful like nasi goreng, gado gado, satay or rendang (which is always meat here).

I’ve just watched Brazil, a dystopian scifi from the 80s. The visuals were great, and I love the genre, but I wasn’t really feeling it. I just couldn’t really care about the characters.

Yeah, and of course the superficial stuff is easy to grasp, like one character is lazy, or the other more of a dreamer who achieves nothing. But you feel like there are things going over your head.

Oh, this is my 3rd Japanese novel I’m reading, so I’m only just getting started. But I’ll be sure to keep posting here.

Ik word altijd wat wantrouwig als deze analogie gebruikt word door bedrijven of instanties. Kijk, ik kan zeggen dat ik eerst het aanrecht opruim, en daarna het afval buiten weggooi. Ik kan dit namelijk niet tegelijk. Maar voor bedrijven of sectoren gaat dat veel minder op.

We zijn bezig met een immense woningbouwopgave te realiseren. We hebben helemaal niet de luxe om 4 jaar pas op de plaats te maken qua OV-investeringen. Dan loopt de boel compleet vast.
