Hard to get anything substantial done in 24 hours, but maybe if I say that I’ll have “our beautiful marine corps” invade Israel to decapitate the terrorist Netanyahu government to replace it with a democratic alternative that includes the Palestinians then Trump will stick with it when he regains control simply because he’s too stubborn to admit that his body was possessed by someone else.
the poll numbers are lower than what Hill-dawg had at this point
This is because the polls are more accurate than what we had in 2016. Trump’s candidacy activated a base that pollsters were wildly underestimating, but now they properly compensate for them in their numbers.
That said, the initial Kamala enthusiasm has definitely died down - and her campaign is responsible for snuffing it out. Who would have guessed that the message “I will continue to do exactly what my predecessor has been doing” would depress voter enthusiasm?
I keep seeing this story and getting shocked, but then remembering that Sean O’Brien is a different guy from Shawn Fain. One of them should change their first name to make it easier to remember whose who.
In another thread someone linked Nintendo’s patent on mounting a creature and being able to both fly through the air and run along the ground while riding said creature.
We don’t know what Nintendo is suing about yet, and it’s possible they have something real like they found out that the devs ripped an asset from a pokemon game and tweaked it with AI like a lot of people were speculating at one point, but right now I’m leaning towards this lawsuit is fucked and if Nintendo gets away with it they will be stifling every game with collectable creatures in the industry.
Nintendo being shitty? Just another Thursday. What’s more it’s a SOFTWARE PATENT lawsuit, which means that it’s the one kind of lawsuit that’s even more fucked than a sketchy ass copyright lawsuit would be. Nintendo wants to make it so that nobody else can make a game with fun creatures that you catch, collect, ride around, etc.
I think you could be right, but it depends on the details Nintendo comes out with. I remember people were saying that they thought certain Palworld monsters had been ripped from the Pokemon games and recolored - if Nintendo can demonstrate that, then that’s a slam dunk for them.
But if it’s just creature designs and collecting them, then I just don’t think that “a cute monkey with green fur” is a novel enough concept to be defensible against someone else doing something similar.
