It’s so weird how hexbear posts that are relevant to my immediate situation keep showing up. I just got off the phone with animal control regarding the buddy I found when I got back from a trip (rest in peace boo boo).
There’s something fucky about the way they’re describing how the whole bat encounter went down. They trapped the poor thing and called all the relevant parties AND had been through this before but didn’t submit the bat for rabies testing? Thats how you actually know if you need to get that $600 shot, if no test can be performed youre supposed to err on the side of caution. Even then you only need to worry if you touched the guy directly. Regardless, something doesn’t add up here. Obvi the point about healthcare costs still stand but it really sounds like most of this story is fabricated for a quick liberal wank.

It feels like the people who say things like that are deeply queerphobic and they would be would be utterly delighted to see LGBT+ people dealt with of in such a way. I don’t think they would bring it up otherwise.
NonCredibleDefence is geopolitics/military procurement/history/news shitposting subreddit (and lemmy community) that has a very neolib/neocon board culture. It got pretty big when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. They celebrate the deaths of actual human beings through doge memes and tend to discuss warfare in terms better suited for video games. I stopped checking in on the place some time before Prigozin did that weird attempted coup thing, they’re probably even more cancerous now.
Imagine The Big Bang Theory but its a forum about imperialist mass murder.
Edit: people post about it on here because it is in many ways the polar opposite of Hexbear, a foil if you will, and therefore easy to hate on.
Why is this tweet branded like a NASCAR competitor?
I’m no expert but it’s possible that the tank had already been abandoned after something else disabled it and what they’re doing is rendering the tank unsalvageable. Similar tactics have been used elsewhere, if you’ve ever seen the footage coming out of Ukraine where a drone operator drops an explosive inside of an apparently empty tank then that’s the same thing going on.
The fear is that those LGBT organizations might be being used as tools for various intelligence organizations to do intelligence organization stuff. I cant remember any specifics but the CIA has aided some minorities to act against powers they oppose. As much as I want global liberation for my sisters, brothers, and siblings I do recognize how the existence of people like me is cynically weaponized on political stages.
This place legit motivates me to improve myself and I can’t think of another online space as mind-opening or conducive to healthy discussion. The reputation this place gets as some kind of toxic shitpit is totally unwarranted.
