Sleepographer
i like ‘real genius’ and ‘buckaroo bonzai across the eighth dimension.’ i’m curious about some of those others. my favorite 80’s movie that feels of that decade is ‘the chocolate war’.
it’s surprising to me too that you got so many subscribers so quickly, only surprising because it’s such an eclectic mix of posts from what i’ve seen. i subscribed too.
you’ve inspired me to think more creatively about what kind of community i might make, which i’ve been developing in my head since i looked at yours.
i watched two shows on that list.
mushi-shi: i’ve seen it twice. i think i probably consider it a near masterpiece. the only anime that i can confidently call a masterpiece is the original ‘berserk,’ which i favor even more than my favorite live action movie or series. i would probably rank ‘mushi-shi’ as number two on my top anime list, and then probably ‘cowboy bebop’ at number three.
monster: i know many people regard it very highly, so it’s worth a try, but for me it didn’t leave a big impression, but was interesting enough to finish, which is a compliment because it is long.
thanks for this post. right now is an interesting time, which i think could be regarded as the first great migration from reddit to lemmy and the wider fediverse.
i’ve always enjoyed this song. it was nice to hear it again.
interesting idea for a community.
if i look at my own profile while logged in, all of my subscriptions show in a column on the right side of the page. but if i look at your profile i see none of your subscriptions, presuming that you have some; the right-side of your profile is blank to me. the only thing i’ve seen so far in another person’s profile on the right-side column is what communities they moderate. so it seems to me that our subscriptions are rather private.
