I think you’d have two very different data sets to train on there. Im not sure opt-out is better than no choice. These AI models are going to be out there doing things for us, i think we’re all better off if they have the highest quality of data to train on.

As far as i know this is just the pre-warning that soon Synology NASes wont accept anything other than “supported” drives aka Synology branded ones.

It’s kind like when adults have to pre-warn kids they are leaving an event before the real warning, before they finally leave.

My 5 year old appreciates this very clear answer.
