I’ve had family members who have needed the extended 'round the clock-style care that I’ve heard some people with long COVID need. It takes a team of people to take care of them. Family members, nurses, occupational, and mental health therapists. America’s healthcare system was in a miserable state before the pandemic. The burden we’ve taken on as a nation during this pandemic has been tremendous and I don’t hear anyone talking about what we’re going to do about it.

The place I’m living in the PNW is experiencing a massive surge in water usage as the population increases dramatically. The people are moving here specifically because our county has no water use restrictions so they can water their lawns to their heart’s content. This is a problem because the places these lawn-waterers came from put those water restrictions in place because the people were using up all the water on their useless lawns.
