Being a casual deadmau5 listener (although he does have some excellent music - “Take care of the proper paperwork” is a production masterpiece), I just want to thank you for your comment, I’m currently listening to Get Scraped and it’s incredible, very reminiscent of the big beat bands of the 90’s. Deleting and nuking posts and comments are only distroy what we and the entire reddit community built over the years and it will be a huge loss for all of us.
Reddit has already been destroyed by the actions taking place currently by spez and the site admins. There is no saving it anymore, not in any way that matters.
You’re right, it is a huge loss but don’t put that blame on the users deleting comments, that blame lies squarely on Reddit. The way I see it they don’t deserve the content we have provided them and the right thing to do is rebuild that information elsewhere. Here on the fediverse for example.
To keep your content on Reddit is to encourage web traffic to Reddit, which makes them money.
Lol. Last time I was there I saw Dr spaces alien planet trip volume 2 and asked the owner about it, he didn’t know but offered to spin it while I browsed and I enjoyed it so I picked it up. This time my partner (who didn’t realize I had volume 2) comes up to me and shows me volume 1 and said she thought it might be something id be into, so I had to pick it up. If I had to label it, It’s psychedelic prog rock I guess.
Interesting about the different cover, what does yours look like? When I added it to my discogs collection they all looked like this
Today’s younger generation mostly watch content on their phones, Instagram, tik tok, YouTube etc. They’re holding their phone portrait to view this content so that’s how they produce content. And that’s a popular demographic to target so yeah, it’s catching on for better or worse
