I mean, even assuming the senator from MBNA, as Biden was known because of his lockstep support of the banks, suddenly found Jesus right now and decided to do Nixon-style price controls (which is farcical but whatever) do you think THIS Supreme Court would say that the president has the power to do Nixon-style price controls still? There’s literally no way. MAYBE for Trump, sure as shit not for Biden.
https://www.natesilver.net/p/what-democrats-should-do-next – “In our model, Biden has fallen from a 35 percent chance against Trump before the debate to 28 percent now.”
Say what you will about Trump, he knows a good grift when he sees one.
Fun fact: After firing Nate Silver from 538, Disney dumped their whole model and replaced it with one that always shows Biden winning. Nate Silver is still using the pre-this year’s rigged model, and Biden’s down to like 20% odds.
Depends on the municipality. In NYC, you have “borough presidents,” which are county level executive officers with no actual responsibilities (this was Eric Adams previous “job” before mayor). Virtually every municipality has its share of random do-nothing offices like that.
Except in the states where most of the population lives, one of the duopoly parties has a full-on monopoly and your general election vote actually doesn’t matter for any office of substance (or primary if you have the misfortune to be a member of the DNC, the party that only allows primaries against the 6 progressives left in the party)
