I’ve been using RebornOS, which is an arch based distro. I think it fits what you want perfectly. It’s a rolling release and has heaps of customisability and nothing is forced on you.
I’ve been playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. It’s a fun, fantastical take on the Borderlands formula. It’s got the improved gunplay of 3 and a better story but from what I’ve heard the end game is lacking compared to 3 and especially 2.
I first tried Ubuntu because it was the only one I knew of besides arch and I heard that arch was hard. I hated Ubuntu immediately and started distro hopping. I’m on Debian 12 now and it’s the longest I’ve been on a single distro.
I had issues when I tried Zorin. I still think Mint is probably the best for a new user.
I’d say I’m tech conservative although I am using Debian on my laptop.
I’m playing Robo Quest. It’s a fps rogue lite from a few years ago. The combat reminds me of overwatch and the characters and weapons remind me of Borderlands.
I’m going to see the new animated Spider-Man film instead of the Flash. I’m not a fan of Ezra Miller nor many of the dceu movies tbh.
Obviously it depends on what you’re into but I love tech and gaming. I listen to the wan show, friends per second, trash taste and the waveform podcasts.
