Don’t expose anything to the outside world. If you do, use something like Cloudflare tunnels or Tailscale.

I switched to Ubiquiti and I couldn’t be happier.

As long as you don’t exspose it to the interwebs, you’re fine.

I’ve done it with my Unifi Dream Machine. I haven’t noticed any issues.

Cost? when you look at price of equipment plus increase in power consumption, is it really cheaper?
