I’m assuming they’re talking about SEO(search engine optimization). There’s companies that offer it as a service to boost websites rankings so they are closer to the top.
They started blocking people who use ad blockers from watching videos if they don’t disable it on YouTube. I think they just started doing it in the last few weeks
