Yes, most artist use Instagram as their portfolio, but you might be able to find a link in their bio or in the page of the studio they work in to the their websit where you can also see their work… if that helps at all

If a community is not on the instance you’re a part of (as in it’s not a local community), it will show “@name of instance” after the name of the community, it doesn’t have to do with the name of the instance, just how the UI works.

With the flood of new people to Lemmy, I think everyone is busy with making sure that everything is working as intended, the servers are running, and other basic needs. So in my opinion it might be a good idea to bring it up at a future date (I might be wrong idfk) but anyways I love the idea of big events like r/place offered I think it would be great

I’ve been on Lemmy for maybe 2 days total so someone else’s guess might be better than mine, but I think the post is pinned on a community level and is also pinned to the whole instance.
