Oh duh. I tried the web UI which was fast when I first hit it logged out. After logging in it was very slow for the first two pages. But after that it was very fast on subsequent pages. Going back to sync every page call is still slower than the web UI.

TL;DR; Plex server can run on a toaster oven. High quality streams are more about the streaming device itself

Very well written article. Seems like kind of a rarity these days. What a treat

Sea of Stars. I liked it but it felt kind of thin. I wish they had had a bigger budget. It really feels like there should have been a third chapter and it feels like things are left hanging. I didn’t get the super true final ending but still felt like there should have been more depth in general. It’s a beautiful game with a surprisingly good and strong narrative. The game play was solid but didn’t really grow much over the course of the game.

Finishing things is way overrated. I hate the endings of things in general. I’ve completely stopped watching TV shows to their competition. The end is often unsatisfying. And the last seasons are often a let down. Also most games are just way way way too long. I don’t need a 150 hour game. There are just so many great games to play out there to be spending months playing one.

This is the correct answer. SD card slot FTW. Also killer optics/processing. Fits great in the hand. Also straight up headphone jack. No compromise (for real) phone.

Streaming 4k HDR has a lot more to do with codecs used and the hardware deciding capabilities of the clients. So for the server you just need minimal disk speed and average network speeds if your client devices are good. If you do need to transcode you will want an Intel processor that has quick sync. But I would avoid transcoding (waste of electricity) and rely on clients with good hardware decoding. Hevc, av1 etc. My old Nvidia shield device didn’t support hevc and had to replace it avoid transcoding my movies.

This is a solid decoder, cec support sucks but most Android TV devices do. Anything with a Amlogic S905X4 or newer should support everything https://a.co/d/as1T5RY
