Vote, volunteer, get involved

Make sure to encourage and remind any dem-leaning friends, family, etc. to get out and vote!

Also consider volunteering to get people to vote yes on Measure J in Sonoma County California. It would phase out any factory farms in the area and be a major first

There’s a decent chance Walz runs to be president in the future if Harris wins and I think he’d probably do fairly well in a primary and general

Looking a bit deeper, does seem like it varies by location. Will update the title to clarify that

He is, though he’s wrong about Trump’s plans being anything beneficial in the long term. But even what he’s saying about any part of it being harmful is a contradiction of Trump’s claims about the economy

Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan* have same day registration through election day

North Carolina has it only during early voting (ends Nov 2nd)

The rest of the battle ground states do not (i.e Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia)

Across the US, 23 states + DC have same day voter registration

* not at the polls in Michigan but at the clerk’s office and then you can vote there after doing same day registration

Another thing to note about him: Girdusky is also listed as one of the board of advisors of American Moment which is a group that’s listed by the Heritage Foundation as a Project 2025 partner

In a close election, any decent percentage matters and they are not spread out evenly at all. For instance, there are 500,000 in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania was won by only 42k in 2016

Plus a million in Florida - that can make the florida senate race a little more competitive. New York downballot races are a big part of why dems lost the house in 2022, and there’s also around a million in New York

They should certainly have representation, yes, but that’s not to say the Puerto Ricans in swing states / competitive downballot won’t matter either

Good thing there’s only 5 million people who once lived in Puerto Rico in the 50 states and hundreds of thousands in Pennsylvania particularly
