This little lemming, with its scarf and its button nose, makes me smile every time a knitting post appears in my timeline. Thank you!

Perhaps I’m mistaken. I thought I’d read something like that somewhere…

I’m thinking about doing the knot thing and weave in the ends. Which means four times weaving per ball change. Fortunately is it a small project…

I know what you mean (seen the video, not actually tried it). Unfortunately, this method isn’t suitable for plant fibres, because they are too slippery and don’t felt…

To be completely honest, I have zero ambition to chase a deadline with that, or any, project. It’s done, when it’s done.

The yarn only has a small percentage of linen, and I found it fairly pleasant to hold - but obvs nothing like a nice soft merino. However, it splits somewhat easily.
All in all, I think it’s worth giving it a chance, if you like summer knits.

If others agree and find it useful, we could take the old-fashioned approach of [keyword] at the beginning of the post title, e.g. [fo], [wip], [question], [ad] etc.

Hi there! It’s great that you took over.

Personally, I don’t mind the occasional commercial post, as long as they don’t take over the community. It would be nice to have them clearly indicated as such, though. BTW: Is there something like post flair on Lemmy?

Just a hypothesis:

Could it be, that post creation is synchronised between federated instances, but deletions are not?
If that’s the case, nothing could ever be deleted from Lemmy - but that wouldn’t be Jerboa’s fault.

I have another one: A mini iron to press seams open!

(…she wrote, sitting in front of her sewing machine, having sewed a seam that really needs to be pressed open before proceeding, and having spent the last five minutes trying to press said seam open with the handle of her shears, because the laziness is strong with this one, and who can be bothered to stand up to set up the ironing board?)

I like Plantain too! If you are on the lookout for free patterns (aren’t we all?), the Core T-Shirt by Closet Core Patterns might also be something to look at. It’s a boxy fit, though, so not really an alternative to the Plantain.
