I think it’s just the lower likelihood that they will end up as combatants. If you’re in a military conflict you’re generally more likely to hand over hostages that are less likely to come back and fight you

Clearly you missed all the female IDF soldiers thirst-posting on Tik Tok dancing on the rubble of destroyed homes and schools.

No I saw. I’m just under the impression that it’s a lower likelihood that women in the IDF are serving in direct combat roles. I mean maybe they are, maybe all of Hamas’ hostages are highly trained combatants, although I doubt it

…what. IDF soldiers are literally dancing on graves? I mean, I guess I’m not surprised. I’ve seen videos of them gleefully spewing genocidal bile and discussing their genocidal exploits.

There’s one of an IDF soldier proposing to another, with romantic music and fellow soldiers applauding, on top of the rubble of a school they blew up. It’s cartoonishly evil, and it couldn’t be even more cartoonishly evil unless they did something ridiculous like bomb Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ, on Christmas day. I mean, that would be insane on so many levels if they did that, right? Yeah well, they did - https://www.livemint.com/news/world/israeli-forces-strike-bethlehem-on-christmas-day-amid-raids-across-occupied-west-bank-11703498336126.html

That makes sense the other way around because Hamas only employs men as fighters, but the IDF is co-ed.
