I’m usually more of a dex guy in Souls games, so my first few playthroughs have been with the Blades of Mercy, the Saif, and a BL4 with the Sawcleaver. I haven’t played in a minute, but my most recent was a pure BONK build with the Kirkhammer, possibly either going for a Boomhammer or Amy’s Arm once I get to the DLC. The feel of these weapons really is a lot different from the swift and nimble dex weapons I’m used to, but it’s good to mix it up a little from time to time.

I’ve been telling myself I’ll do another playthrough for years (Bloodborne was one of my first games on console), but I kept trying out new games, so I still only got two playthroughs.

My first playthrough was mostly a strength quality build starting with spin-to-win axe with a bit of LHB and HMS mixed in later. Would really like to use HMS and amygdala arm more.

Second playthrough was mostly chikage but I felt like I did not utilize it to its full potential, especially the transformation attacks. Simon’s bowblade seemed so stylish when I watched some YouTuber’s video also, but I just couldn’t get it to work…

I really wanted to try blades of mercy and German’s scythe, they look so cool. But I don’t want to kill Eileen early, so I’m hesitant about starting the character I made for this build.

BoM can be obtained by progressing Eileen’s questline regularly. Unless you’re dead set on using them right off the bat, you can get them sometime after Vicar Amelia.

Alternatively, you could go chalice-crawling and get the Burial Blade and BoM that way.

Simon’s Bowblade does look incredibly stylish, that’s true.

Really? I can get them in chalice dungeons before I get them in main game? That is good to know, thanks!
