I went for a walk and found a vape on the ground. It had a symbol of a cross through a bin so I thought I should be a good citizen and dispose of this thing properly. I searched the internet and found an article that said to disassemble it, carefully cut the wires to the battery, put the liquid receptacle in the bin and drop the battery off at the local Officeworks for recycling. 🙄 The thing was solid, it had no screws and seemed to be impossible to open. At least you can put cigarette butts in the bin…

Australia seems especially shitty recycling e-waste. We’re probably supposed to do the same thing with electric toothbrushes but I bet no one bothers.

Create post

An Australian community for everything from your backyard to beyond the black stump.

Topics may include Aussie plants and animals, environmental, farming, energy, and climate news and stories (mostly Aus specific), etc. New related communities will be split off when required, think like subcommunities that exist on that other platform.

Trigger Warning: Community contains mostly bad environmental news (not by choice!). Community may also feature stories about animal agriculture and/or meat. Until tagging is available, please be aware and click accordingly.
