Maybe I’m just shortsighted but this article is saying something to the effect of, even if you blocked meta if any of your followers haven’t then meta can access your public profile or posts.

So? It’s public. Who cares? You’ve blocked them, they can’t talk to you, and it’s all already available on your own instance, they don’t need threads to see it. So what’s the problem?

People who are frequently targeted by harassers care, such as trans people. People on Threads will be able to find trans people in the fediverse and harass them by creating accounts on the same instance as the trans person to get around the block.

It’s the fundamental flaw in the fediverse. I don’t see any way to fix it. It’s sort of like wanting to leave the US and for your own country and then consider that they are no Police or governing bodies to prevent bad actors from hurting people. Well yea…
