This is a rebuttal by the author of the book that was the target of that recent Nature article. He’s a professor at NYU who’s been studying this for a long time

Au contraire. He’s not writing for a scientific audience, he’s writing for the NYT bestsellers audience. Thin skin somehow helps with the promotion of these books.

I’ll save you the trouble. This guy wrote a book about the harms of social media. Someone criticized it in Nature. This article is a response to that criticism.

It has links to a bunch of studies, which I did not click. But the author, though he is a professor of business ethics, does have a PhD in psychology. He seems qualified, though I only skimmed this article and haven’t read anything else.
