Never had one. Didn’t know anyone who had one. Is this an American thing?

Had one in Germany, they were quite common here. Worked well as a bug zapper, there was the occasional smell of crispy moths…

Were they expensive? I grew up hunting feral pigeons for food and we were by no means the poorest family in the area.
