Police are searching for fugitives they say ambushed a prison van to free a drug dealer known as “The Fly.” At least two prison guards died and three more are seriously injured.

At least two French prison officers were shot dead and three injured on Tuesday in an ambush on a prison van, French police said on Tuesday.

Authorities launched a major manhunt after the attackers escaped alongside an unarmed inmate.

The escaped inmate had been convicted of burglary and was also under investigation for a kidnapping and homicide case in Marseille, according to public prosecutor Laure Beccuau.

@wildbus8979

I was reminding of my father making me a tour of the prison of Fresnes (near Paris). Showing me things like :

  • “yeah, that gate is new, old got a rocket in” (Antonio Ferrara escape)
  • “see thoses bullets hole on the tower ? It got shot by an helicopter” (Emile Dieudonné and Fernando Alonso tentative escape)

So yeah…

Lest we forget Jacques Mesrine who escaped prison like five times in ten years from both France and Canada… And isn’t stopping a car to assassinate the occupants and then torch it in broad daylight specifically called the “Marseille Special”?..
