He loves this. He loves to play the victim. The underdog. Despite being a being a real life racist rich toff caricature.

If what he loves is a hurled brick, he’s welcome to as many as he’d like.

Frankly I have no patience for ‘that’s just want they want!’ as a kneejerk response to any backlash against diet Nazis. They’ll claim victory no matter what happens. That’s part of what makes the fascists. The nature of bad faith is that there is no right answer.

If this pattern means the only headlines about this asshole go ‘asshole hit by [object]’ - great. Beats reporting any of the garbage flying from his face.

I think we need to keep being better than them. Not get dragged into the mud with them.

Can you point to an example in history where this worked? Because all the examples of successful big changes (womens right to vote for example) have included mass uprisings, and violence directed at those in power, and often their financial interests.

How’d we solve the previous round of Nazis? Polite patience and understanding?

Identifying when people threaten everyone you love and telling them to fuck right off is being better than them.

Time to neuter the underdog if you ask me.

UK Politics

!uk_politics@feddit.uk

Create post

General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don’t post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
