One of these has definitely hauled more than the other, and i guarantee you it’s not the ford.

If you drive something so unnecessarily dangerous and bad for our shared space and you’re not using it for it’s purpose I will judge you with no sympathy

What makes you an authority on what’s dangerous, bad or whether someone is using something for their intended purposes? Why are you so quick to judge others based on your lack of information?

Everything is dangerous if you go to extremes. Too much water can kill you. Too much food can kill you. Stressing yourself out over what others are doing will kill you or reduce the quality of your life at the very least.

It’s been proven that big trucks cause more accidents and pollute more heavily and cause city architecture problems because of parking and street size requirements. Seems like you’re lacking basic information.

Equating drinking too much water and dying to literally contributing to killing others or making their lives worse is the most stupid comparison I’ve ever heard. One hurts yourself, the other hurts other people.

Is that also true of buses? Garbage trucks? How about Limo’s? 18 wheel trucks? Those vehicles are all larger than my truck but you seem to be fixed on trucks only. What an odd flex.

I’ve watched that YT video and it’s junk science. Of course you believe it because it does support your opinion so you’ve succumbed to confirmation bias. Congrats.

It’s only stupid if it doesn’t align with your ‘fuck trucks’ ideology. The fact that you think dying from too much water only hurts yourself, is pretty ignorant. But that seems to be your thing.

I literally talked about sports cars being a horrible waste. Are you blind? Limos are dumb for the same reason. Unless they’re carrying a dozen people. Same with buses and trucks. I literally said “if it’s not being used for it’s purpose”. What else do you need? Not surprised you can’t understand a video, supported with sources, explaining things you can easily deduce yourself. The trucks use more fuel, fact. They use more space in cities and on roads, fact. They’re heavier and therefore cause more fatal accidents, fact.

Go ahead Einstein, tell me who you hurt by drinking too much water. You kill some kid playing in the street by drinking too much water? You cause some elderly person to develop lung cancer because of your pollution? You causing a homeless person to be without housing because you need to park that giant, useless thing.

Use your brain, one time.

This community exists as a sister community/copycat community to the r/fuckcars subreddit.

This community exists for the following reasons:

  • to raise awareness around the dangers, inefficiencies and injustice that can come from car dependence.
  • to allow a place to discuss and promote more healthy transport methods and ways of living.

You can find the Matrix chat room for this community here.

Rules

  1. Be nice to each other. Being aggressive or inflammatory towards other users will get you banned. Name calling or obvious trolling falls under that. Hate cars, hate the system, but not people. While some drivers definitely deserve some hate, most of them didn’t choose car-centric life out of free will.

  2. No bigotry or hate. Racism, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, homophobia, chauvinism, fat-shaming, body-shaming, stigmatization of people experiencing homeless or substance users, etc. are not tolerated. Don’t use slurs. You can laugh at someone’s fragile masculinity without associating it with their body. The correlation between car-culture and body weight is not an excuse for fat-shaming.

  3. Stay on-topic. Submissions should be on-topic to the externalities of car culture in urban development and communities globally. Posting about alternatives to cars and car culture is fine. Don’t post literal car fucking.

  4. No traffic violence. Do not post depictions of traffic violence. NSFW or NSFL posts are not allowed. Gawking at crashes is not allowed. Be respectful to people who are a victim of traffic violence or otherwise traumatized by it. News articles about crashes and statistics about traffic violence are allowed. Glorifying traffic violence will get you banned.

  5. No reposts. Before sharing, check if your post isn’t a repost. Reposts that add something new are fine. Reposts that are sharing content from somewhere else are fine too.

  6. No misinformation. Masks and vaccines save lives during a pandemic, climate change is real and anthropogenic - and denial of these and other established facts will get you banned. False or highly speculative titles will get your post deleted.

  7. No harassment. Posts that (may) cause harassment, dogpiling or brigading, intentionally or not, will be removed. Please do not post screenshots containing uncensored usernames. Actual harassment, dogpiling or brigading is a bannable offence.

Please report posts and comments that violate our rules.
