Another band from the Christian ska/punk boom of the 90’s. One of my earliest concerts was The W’s opening for Five Iron Frenzy at a roller rink in 1999, so this one is pretty nostalgic for me.

Also, flower tattoo -> Dandelions, so a double connection

I dig this song so much. I got down voted to hell on another site a while back for posting this but I’m glad there’s other people that like it. I’m not a Christian, and never payed any attention to the godska back in the day (but I’ve been a rudie since Madness put out One Step Beyond) so I came to this late. What a fun tune. Thanks for sharing it.

Glad you like it! I was raised in a very conservative Christian house, so I was exposed to lots of bands in my formative years through friends from church.

I’m now pretty adamantly anti-theist, but I still love and respect Five Iron Frenzy, mostly because I think their stuff stands up on its own by having great songwriting and lyrics, not by simply being “the best Christian version of a secular band.”
