Hey y’all. Alcoholic here. I’m not drinking today. I have not been able to completely quit, tho.

I am currently only drinking on the weekends. There are days of weakness, but it’s been over six months so far.

I used the same method as I used to quit smoking. I drank until my hearts content, and counted how many I had in the day. Every new week, I would drink one less drink daily. Eventually I quit drinking during the week.

I know it’s best to quit altogether, but there is something so rewarding about coming home Friday from work, and cracking that first beer. It feels awesome.

Best of luck to everyone here. One day is a great accomplishment in itself.
