Rule 1. Everyone in the world is playing the game.

You could argue that it doesn’t apply to you since you are deciding not to play the game as a free agent. However then you can also not win anymore because you are not playing the game.

No, not playing means not wasting time and energy on it. That is a full win.

Anyone trying to pretend that participation in a thought experiment isn’t voluntary would be wise to choose very carefully who they pull that with irl.
