had the theory that Tim Allen is only on TV when the President is a Dem.

Let me guess:

Tim Allen plays the head of a family and is the main character

He has a wife that nags constantly and a quiet young son and bratty teenage daughter

Tim plays a level headed common sense alpha male that plays the only sane man in a world full of ‘kooky wokes’

He is presented as an average Joe despite living in a huge house and having some kind of petit bourgeoisie job like business owner or news caster.

I just looked it up, and you’re suuuper close. Allen plays a “stubborn” widower who owns a classic car restoration shop, with a young son and an estranged daughter (Dennings) who has to move back in with him. She’ll undoubtedly be a failure because she has a college degree in woke feminism or whatever, and he has to set her straight with his common sense Republican values.

Imagine if the show subverted that, and the reason is that she has a degree in CS and can’t get a job because Google just fired 10,000 people.

Dennings is playing the daughter and it would be a stretch for her to play teenaged.
