Ok I’m going to level with you now. I posted three things to a somewhat slow community. So far you’ve found issue with two of them, despite neither of the things you’ve suggested being rules in the side bar. As I said on my other post, this makes me not want to contribute - fuck me for helping, right?
Considering the name of the plant is clearly visible in the link, adding the name to the title is redundant and clunky. Didn’t listen to them.
I really don’t under your stand point here. I’m not targeting you either. I asked (!) another user Boozilla who has been active recently to update his posts to include a little synopsis of the article linked in their posts. They DMed me back saying “Done!” - no drama. It’s honestly just to keep this community clean and have some sort of continuity between posts. It’s easier when you scroll down the feed and you can see the title of the article as well as a short synopsis to catch your attention before you commit to reading the whole article. There is no rules, there is no commands, no one is telling anybody off - I just politely asked you. I hope you understand my motives - honestly there is no hostility intended.
Add it to the rules and I’ll do it. I’m not trying to create drama, but I am trying to warn against a moderation style that’ll kill this community before it’s taken off. Moderate based on established rules, and allow creativity to flourish.
It also seems like the suggestions are not very popular, given the ones I came across were very downvoted.
As a moderator, your polite asking comes with some heft.
