For some reason Hollywood completely forgot that you’re allowed to re-cast roles and put new actors in them. I suppose you could see it as a reflection of the generational dynamics in the whole country - boomers clinging to what they got and refusing to yield anything to the younger generation until they’re absolutely forced to.
