I’ve finally promoted enough dwarves to be able to join any deep dive without any problems, and I’m very surprised how much more fun there is to be had with the overclocks.

My absolute favourite has got to be the one that gives the engineer’s grenade launcher extreme self knockback. All of my TF2 soldier skills are being put to great use!

I would lovr to hear what your favourite overclocks are and how they affect your performance as a miner on Hoxxes IV.

Special Powder was the first overclock I got, and it took my friend nearly threatening me with hammers to finally switch off of it. It just adds so much more mobility to an already mobile class, it feels like I’m dancing across the caves. Outside of that, Ai Stability Engine for the GK2 and Supercooling Chamber for the M1000 feel very rewarding to use.

For Driller, I like Scorching Tide for the Flamethrower and Blistering Necrosis for the Wave Cooker. Scorching Tide reminds me of the Flamewall from Rise of the Triad and does very nice damage, and Blistering Necrosis adds easy weakpoints to enemies for a fairly low cost.

I don’t have many overclocks for Engie or Gunner, so Engie just gets Executioner for the LOK-1 and RJ250 for the PGL for fun hee hee jumping time, and Gunner gets 5 minutes of asking my friend who plays Gunner what to do.

I only play scout, and my primary build has always been special powder and supercooling. (Max bag space, vampire, thorns, jet boots, and the medic perks)

This is the way.
