I’m on lemmy.ml, and I want to subscribe to https://lemmy.world/c/songaweek. There it says to put !songaweek@lemmy.world into search on my instance to subscribe, but it doesn’t turn up anything. Anyone know why this might be, and/or how to work around it?

You might need to click search a couple times. It usually only takes a few seconds but if the other server is down or they can’t otherwise can’t communicate temporarily or otherwise you might not be able to find it.

Repeated searching isn’t helping, and their webserver is working at https://lemmy.world/c/songaweek. There are other lemmy.world communities showing up in my feed. Hmmm

it could be that the two instances cant talk to each other, or are perhaps rate limited. Are you able to connect from a different source instance?

Tried here and that didn’t get any results either. Nor do I get any results for !memes@lemmy.worldhttps://lemmy.ml/search?q=!memes%40lemmy.world&type=Communities” which is weird since I see those posts on my lemmy.ml feed.
