Toph will be played by Miya Cech, a 17 year old actress of Chinese & Japanese descent. She does not have any sight impairments. She was adopted by Czech parents (hence the last name). For an amusing tidbit, she was in a movie called ‘a great divide’. Her imdb

Netflix has just announced that season 2 of the live action series is now in production.
