Man, I have such a mixture of thoughts about Vegeta.

I’m rewatching DBZ right now for the first time in 20 years and I always remembered him as being arrogant.

This time, I see so much more to the character. But there’s this I’ve things that bothers me. He’s constantly complaining about how people being too soft is a weakness. Caring about others and such.

But during this fight, he states recognition that Goku has always been and will likely always be stronger and that pisses him off to no end. It almost seems like a little reflection on what drives Goku might help Vegeta see that things like caring for others isn’t a weakness.
