Imagine threatening to invade a country that successfully repelled their colonizers, colonizers that were so powerful they once invaded much of the world. If I recall correctly, at one point an IRA member actually tossed an explosive at the PM’s offices and only due to misfortune didn’t successfully take out the PM; can you imagine picking a fight with a country that tough? The IRA aren’t tough as nails, it’s nails that are tough as IRA.

Ironic that the British have played a major role in training the IDF in counter-insurgency tactics.

Maybe they should’ve got someone that actually succeeded in counter-insurgency to do the training?

Same with India. It is especially funny given our background and also explains why we can be comically bad at counter-insurgency at times.

I mean to be fair, the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) helped to train the Provisional IRA
