In India they have poll workers trekking into the mountains so that people can vote but apparently some US states can’t even manage postage, world’s greatest democracy folks

Wanna know a neat trick? You don’t have to put stamps on a mail in ballot. The post office has to process it or it would be a pole tax. I worked at USPS through a couple elections ballots were taken way more seriously than anything else, you’ll lose your job fast if you fuckup handling them. So I guarantee you no postage ballots get processed the exact same way.

That makes sense. I live in a state where there’s a pretty heavy Jim Crow residue on the voting process, and a federal organization like the USPS would probably be one of the few things to cut through some of that
