I donโ€™t do Facebook, so I donโ€™t know how the marketplace thing works. In Gumtree, you can see ratings of people. โ€œQuick Responderโ€, โ€œShowed up on timeโ€ and โ€œPoliteโ€ points account for a lot when I have a choice of buyers. If one buyer had a bunch of those and the other doesnโ€™t, Iโ€™ll go with the one that does.

Maybe I should try Gumtree. Marketplace is mostly ferals with minimal communication skills and scammers.

I mostly used eBay in Melbourne. I found it suited my needs. For whatever reason, itโ€™s just not popular in Perth. Even now when I use eBay (for stuff that can easily be posted), I find the sellers are in Melbourne about half the time.
