Summary

Voters in seven states, including Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, and New York, passed measures to protect or expand abortion access, highlighting widespread support for reproductive rights. Arizona and Missouri, previously restrictive states, will see significant changes with constitutional protections for abortion.

However, similar measures failed in Florida, Nebraska, and South Dakota.

Trump has refrained from endorsing a national abortion ban, emphasizing state control, but his administration could use the 1873 Comstock Act to restrict abortion pill access.

Additionally, Trump’s FDA could reintroduce in-person requirements for abortion medication, making access more challenging.

But don’t you see how Democrats were taught a lesson for not putting forth a candidate better than Trump? /s

https://www.cnn.com/interactive/2024/politics/2020-2016-exit-polls-2024-dg/

In 2020, about half of Americans said abortion should be legal in all or most cases. In 2024, it’s about two-thirds of Americans who say abortion should be legal in all or most cases. But they didn’t necessarily tie that support to their vote for president. Nearly half of people who say abortion should be legal in most cases supported Trump.

The median voter is a tangled mess of contradictions.

Yup. 57% of Florida voted to protect abortion, and 56% voted for Trump.

One side is constantly lying to their base. With outrageous stuff. I don’t know how you factor for that.
