Guys, ELI5 anong meron sa r/pics at bakit post sila ng post ng mga picture ni John Oliver doon? It looks random, or he might have thrown his 2 cents regarding the recent issue with Reddit that the CEO didn’t like.
Malicious compliance. Reddit basically said, “if you don’t open the sub, we’ll remove you from moderating”. r/pics said, “yeah, we’re opening it but you did not specify how”. They made a poll in their community whether to stay the same or to post sexy pics of John Oliver. Overwhelmingly, their community picked the latter and now we have that
